Numerical Control

In today's manufacturing environment, numerically-controlled machine tools (CNC machines) are in great demand. CNC machine tools are advanced machine tools which use computer controls to perform complex machining operations, such as milling, turning, precision grinding, laser cutting, wire electro-discharge machining and inspection.

Washtenaw Community College's Numerical Control program provides you with the skills to write manual programs for CNC milling and turning applications. Computer assist programming is learned using CAD/CAM software to program compex 2, 3, and 4-axis CNC machining operations.

You will become proficient in the setup and operation of CNC machine tools to manufacture parts to precise specifications. Course work includes interpretation of engineering drawings, precision measurement, and work holding techniques.

Give yourself an edge in manufacturing and earn one of WCC's Numerical Control certificates.
