Test Taking Accommodation Procedures Receiving Test Taking Accommodations: Prior to scheduling and taking entry/assessment tests, COMPASS or ASSET tests and classroom tests in Learning Support Services (LSS), students must do the following each semester for each class:
Making Test Arrangements Alternate sites for testing can be arranged either at the Testing Center or in LSS. However, only LSS can provide accommodations. Tests taken in LSS must be scheduled by the student at least one day in advance to ensure the availability of proctors, space and specific accommodations. The student notifies the instructor that a test has been scheduled in LSS so that the instructor can deliver the test to LSS and complete a Test Instructions Form. The student may also take a Test Instructions Form to the instructor for completion. However, only an instructor may deliver a test to LSS or provide the LSS proctor with instructions for picking up or delivering a test. If students are unable to keep a testing appointment, they are to notify LSS and their instructor as soon as possible. Twenty four hours notice is preferable. Test Administration Students are generally expected to complete a test in one sitting unless otherwise indicated by the instructor. If a student requests breaks, only a portion of the test will be provided and the student will be expected to take that portion before taking a break. Unless permitted by the instructor, students will not have access to books, notes or other school materials during the test. Scratch paper will be provided by LSS and collected at the end of the test. Cell phones, pagers, laptops, Ipods and other electronic devices are not permitted in the testing rooms. If questions, please contact Lynnette Viers, LSS Test Proctor, at 973-3342 or e-mail --> | |||||||
